Highlights and Facts
The Mahdi Clinic is an 800 bed hospital,
15 stories above ground level, ground
floor and 2 level basement. Each of the
three wings of the hospital are stabilized
using inverted V-bracing.
Damptech dampers are used to achieve
the highest levels of seismic
performance. The dampers significantly
reduce the effective story displacements
and accelerations felt by the patients
and sensitive hospital equipment, and
ensure the continued operation of the
hospital.
Completed in 2015, there are 348
Damptech dampers installed in this
project.
